The Journey So Far…

I have to admit that getting started on my documentary has been a little scary.  I have so many ideas, but I also have lots of questions, and lots to learn about documentary still.  The first step I’ve taken is deciding on my topic.  In the beginning there were four ideas that I was looking into, however, I have been able to narrow it down to two, a Plan A, and a Plan B, in case my first idea falls through.  As of now, I am planning on filming my documentary on how BYUI has cancelled the cultural association program.  I have just started forming questions, and I will post them here as soon as they are ready.

Aside from content, I have also been considering what equipment to use for production.  I currently have a Sony A7S that I use for all of my film and photography projects.  I have been looking into possibly using a different camera, and I have been trying to decide if I should go for a more handheld or stable look.  I found this really great website called borrowlenses.com where you can rent different camera equipment. I might rent a stabilizer or a camera from them, I will keep everyone posted here!
